This is another song Joe Garcia and I wrote. I was living back in Echo Park and workingin an art department for a soap opera at NBC in Burbank. We had a 'live' feed of the stage in our office so we could keep up with the action on the set. We also could watch the raw news footage coming in to the station. One day a group of armed robbers held up a bank in North Hollywood and I saw it all unfold. It was surreal to see the police shootout without any commentary to soften the image. It looked like a macabre ballet unfolding in front of me.
