about

This song was written at home a few nights after Q-ball took his own life and I was the person to find him. I was shocked, grief-stricken, scared and strangely honored to have been one of the last to see him alive and the first to see his body after he died. As the song mentions, Elia had left to go to LA with our dog, Negra, to begin rehearsals for her "First Woman n the Moon" performance at HIghways. It was meant as a song of forgiveness for Dave but really I was asking to be forgiven for not noticing the warning signs in time and doing something to keep him from taking that irreversible step into the unknown. Maybe for him, it was not unknown. He had told me that he planned to marry Sophia, the mother of God.
